During my time with the Integrated Software Solutions Team at the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), I contributed to numerous projects, several of which focused on UI/UX design. These assignments required extensive experience in design, research, prototyping, and cross-functional collaboration with both our team and end users. However, due to the sensitive nature of this work, I am unable to share specific details about the projects.

You can view a limited sample of other design work I produced in this capacity at the bottom of this page.

As Creative Director and Lead Designer for Detroit Research, I guided the translation of a 600+ page print journal on art and critical theory into an intuitive, narrative-driven digital experience. My work involved developing the site’s front-end architecture, designing layouts that balanced readability with visual impact, and implementing metadata-based filtering systems to enhance content discoverability. Through iterative testing, I refined user flows and interaction patterns to make the complex body of scholarly writing accessible and engaging across devices, blending editorial design with thoughtful user experience principles.

As Lead Designer and Front End Developer for Amber Co. Web Platforms, I played a key role in shaping the UI/UX for our client New Law Business Model. I created wireframes that defined content structure and interaction flows, translating them into responsive, visually engaging front-end designs that balanced usability with the client’s goals and the users needs.

SIX FEET OF DISTANCE

As Lead Designer and Front End Developer for Six Feet of Distance, I helped create an interactive, real-time digital archive documenting Detroit’s artistic response to COVID-19. My work focused on designing an accessible, visually cohesive interface that enabled artists to easily submit work and visitors to intuitively explore multimedia content through metadata-driven navigation and dynamic layout systems. The project emphasized empathetic design, translating community stories into a user experience that was both connective and reflective of the isolation and creativity that defined the moment.
